Groupon's Affiliate ProgramThe idea for Groupon (the name is derived from ‘group coupon’) was created by current CEO, Andrew Mason. In April 2010, the company was valued at $1.35 billion.

Andrew Mason pioneered the daily deals craze and now serves daily deals in over 500 markets and 44 countries. When first landed in Australia, Groupon had legal troubles with a competitor daily deal company, Scoopon. Initially, Groupon was forced to trade under another name, Stardeals.

The Groupon affiliate program, unfortunately, offers one of the lowest commissions in comparison to the likes of Cudo, Getaway Lounge, etc. but on the other side of the coin, the program is one of the highest converting – ensuring affiliate revenues a very worthwhile.
